I want this platform to feel open, approachable, earthy, and organic. Before I build any platforms. I want to design the overall personality of my website. I went through different sketches and wondered what colors I should choose. Ofcourse, earthy, green, natural colors make sense for the vibe I am going for. Then I sketched a few logo designs. I really like the logo of a local seed seller by the name of WestCoast Seeds. I wanted to bring sun, plants, and flowers. So I came up with the logo, Tree and flower in the negative space, creating the illusion of the sun shining through the tree. The hardest part of the design process is coming up with type. I am still not happy but this is part of the process. In future I want to keep experimenting with different typography choices.
